Dr Hills graduated in Glasgow in 1990 and is a member of both The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons as well as the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health. She has a special interest in children’s’ health as well as being responsible for the majority of women’s’ health within the practice and carries out minor surgery for the removal of moles, lumps and bumps.

MD, MRCGP, MRCPS, LMSSA, LRCP, LRCS, LMCC

Dr Kean graduated from St George’s University Grenada in 1999. He then completed a residency programme in internal medicine in Albany Medical Centre, New York USA. Subsequently he continued internal medicine in McMaster University, Ontario Canada and completed a further year in Rheumatology with a Clinical Fellowship in Musculoskeletal pain control, which remains a focus of interest. He was registered as a GP in 2010 after several years training back in Scotland.

Dr McCulloch graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2006. During her time at medical school she was a student with Dr Hills at Dalblair Medical Practice. Dr McCulloch is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and has a special interest in Family Planning and palliative care medicine.

Practice Nurse

Jackie Callaghan, our Practice Nurse, qualified with BSc Adult Nursing in 2014, since then she has developed a wealth of knowledge and experience in looking after Chronic Disease. Her experience comes from positions held as Staff Nurse in Care of the Older Adults, Community Nursing, Palliative Care and Orthopaedics before coming into Primary Care in recent years to General Practice. 

Primary Care Nurse (CTAC)

Jacqui Welsh is employed by the NHS as a community nurse working within general practice settings. Jacqui’s role encompasses all aspects of treatment room services including the management of complex wounds, long term condition management, minor injuries and ear assessment and irrigation.  

Practice Manager

The administration team provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Our administration team make most of the patient appointments with the GPs, nurses and our attached staff. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Health Visitor

As well as providing support and advice to parents of our under 5s, our Health Visitor carries out developmental assessments. The Health Visitor is usually available for advice and can be contacted through their office on 01292 885532, normally the answer phone is on but if you leave a message they will return your call as soon as possible.

Disrict Nurses

The district nursing service provides care to our patients who are unable to come to the Practice or are housebound. The district nurses can be contacted on 01292 513881

General Practice Pharmacy Team  

We have a pharmacy team consisting of a practice pharmacist and a pharmacy technician who work within the surgery (on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and are there to help you to use your medicines safely and effectively by: Helping you manage long term conditions, discussing medicine concerns with you- for example, side effects, providing clinics to review your regular medicines, offering solutions if you are affected by medicine shortages, checking test results to ensure your medicines are still appropriate, liaising with health and social care partners to enhance your care.

Community Links Practitioners

Our Community Links Practitioner is able to help you work through a wide range of concerns you may have regarding keeping well in the community and is here to help you improve your health and wellbeing, through connecting you with activities and services in the area. Training, volunteering and employment. Self-management of health. Money and welfare support. Local activities and hobby groups. Housing issues.

Hospice Nurse - Tel: 01292 269200

Our hospice nurse works with all members of our practice team and is responsible for the home care of patients referred to the Hospice. They provide help and support and are a valuable link between the hospice and the doctors in the practice in the care of our patients. Once referral has been made they can be contacted directly on 01292 269200.

Community Psychiatric Nurse(CPN) Our CPN sees our patients with a wide range of conditions from anxiety and phobias to severe mental illness. They provide support within the community to our patients and provide a valuable liason with our hospital colleagues. We also have a dedicated CPN for the elderly who provides the same service but also deals with the problems unique to our elderly population. Referrals are
